they prolly can’t do it, if they ain’t do it

My loved one came to October, TX for Thanksgiving and this was prolly the most anticipated visited of 2023

This is my most trusted Advisor, my big homie, a fellow dream chaser… a stair walker if you will. We have both been so busy with work and life. I knew he was coming for the Cowboys v. Commanders game so I knew I had to maximize my time on this visit. Each time we talk, I spend 84% of the time trying to get him to Texas so that we can create. Sometimes when you’re in that room with other radical thinkers and a blank canvas… it hard not to stand in your greatness and do what brings you so much joy. So long story little less long… Touchdown my loved one has arrived.

We embraced and toasted some top shelf whiskey to God’s Blessings. Walking through the workshop discussing samples, showing him 1 of 1’s, laughing about the trial/error pieces you’ve blasted through. I can see his wheel’s turning as we plot out tomorrow’s adventure. Now it’s game time!!! You know when you show up early to pick somebody up? Yeah that was the excitement level when it came to the day we planned out. Finally…. walking through the fabric store discussing textures and weight ratios between premiums and reserves.

Finally… a moment you can share with another creative that you can’t put into words. Just head nods and the occasional gasp because of the potential that this piece holds for a collection idea you swore to secrecy. At this moment in the thumbnail photograph… we where discussing how easy this is to obtain. Certain things we see from a distance and think it’s out of reach… and we stood right there realizing damn… it’s right there. The inspiration and motivation we received that day took us to the next level. 2023 has thrown everything at us… and we still didn’t break. When you pray for rain, you gotta deal with the mud too.

In closing… Dubb said, “Yeah this a level in the game that we couldn’t skip… that shit had to happen the way it did and we couldn’t skip it.” In return I said, “Yeah you ain’t wrong when you right nih”
